What Time Does the Barcelona Bike Tour Start?

Our daily bike tours in Barcelona depart at 11:00 AM and 15.30 PM. Private tours at the requested time. Bike Tours with a Dutch guide start at 10:30h and 14:00h.

Where do the tours start and finish?

Our Barcelona bike tours depart from Plaça de George Orwell (Carrer de Escudellers, 48, 08002 Bcn). We are located in the old city center near the famous Plaza Real. Please be present 15 minutes before the Highlights Bike Tour.

Where to Park in Barcelona close to the departure of the bike tour?

  • Port Barcelona Columbus, Moll de la Fusta: This parking is close to the harbor and easily connects to the highway, about a 10-minute walk to the bike shop at Plaça de George Orwell.

  • Aparcament Saba Catedral: Located in the city center, near the Cathedral (not to be confused with the Sagrada Familia), about a 10-minute walk to the bike shop at Plaça de George Orwell. Note: There are currently roadworks near the Cathedral.

  • Interparking Las Ramblas: Situated on Las Ramblas, just 5 minutes from the bike shop at Plaça de George Orwell. Note: Due to works on Las Ramblas, this parking may not always be accessible.

Get off at Sants station, then take the metro, green line 3, and get off at the Liceo metro station. From there, it’s a 7-minute walk. Total travel time, about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

How Long is the Bike Tour?

Is Cycling Safe in Barcelona?

Safety is paramount on every chosen bike route. The bike route is safe for children from 6 years old. All bike routes are designed to avoid traffic congestion and use bike paths for most of the tour.

It’s good to know that in recent years, Barcelona has become one of the fastest-growing cycling cities in the world, with an investment in more than 300 km of bike paths in the city.

Is There a Minimum Age for the Bike Tour?

Our private bike tours are suitable for children from 5 years old. Our combined bike tours are suitable for children from 6 years old

What Bikes Are Used for the Bicycle Tour?

For our bike tours in Barcelona, we use well-maintained city bikes with 3 gears. We have specific sizes for children from 5 years old on and child seats for small children up to 22 kg. This makes it much easier for families to join us on our bike tour and enjoy the experience together.

What Should I Bring for the Bike Tour?

It is recommended to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and/or a hat. It is also always handy to have a bottle of water. During the Barcelona bike tour, there is also a short break for a drink and/or restroom stop.

Are Helmets Available for the Bicycle Tour?

Yes! Helmets are available for all ages. For children under 16 years, it is legally required to wear a helmet during the bike tour.

Can I Bring My Own Bike on the Bike Tour?

It is certainly possible to bring your own bike, please indicate this in advance and receive a €5

Does the Bike Tour Take Place in Bad Weather?

  • All our bike tours are rain and sunshine resistant. Fortunately, it rains very little in Barcelona (even on days when rain is predicted).
  • In case of rain or potentially dangerous weather, you can, of course, cancel or reschedule the bike tour to another day free of charge.
  • Please notify us as soon as possible.

How Long is the Barcelona Bike Route?

The 3-hour bike tour is about 14 km. The 2-hour bike tour is about 9 km.

Is there a break during the bike tour?

There is a break of about 15 minutes in a 3-hour bike tour Barcelona. 2-hour bike tours normally have no break unless requested.

Does Perry Tours Have Its Own Shop?

We have been working with the same bike rental for years and do not have our own shop.

Is There a Possibility to Leave Luggage at the Bike Shop?

During the bike tour, you can leave your small backpack or bag in the shop.

Can We Use a Toilet or Is There a Toilet Stop During the Bike Tour?

It is not possible to use the toilet in the shop. About halfway through the bike tour, we take a break in the park, where public toilets are available. For young children with unforeseen needs, we can make a stop during the bike tour.

What If I'm Late for the Bike Tour

  • If you think you’re going to be late, call or text us directly at +34 603 32 65 88. Often, based on your location, we can estimate how long it will take before you reach our starting point and can assist you with the right metro/bus or walking route.
  • Try to be on time if you have chosen the Highlights Group Tour. We ask you to be present 15 minutes before the start of the tour so that the group does not have to wait. We wait up to 10 minutes after the indicated start time.

Do We Pass Camp Nou During the Bike Tour?

Camp Nou is situated a bit on the outskirts of the city, so this stop is not in our bike tours. It is possible to adjust the route during a private tour and include Camp Nou as a stop in the bike tour. Is it also possible to visit the Camp Nou museum during the Private tour? During the Private tour, it is possible to visit the museum. Note: Due to renovation works, there are currently no matches in Camp Nou. However, it is still possible to visit part of the Camp Nou museum.

Do We Stop at Park Güell During the Bike Tour?

Park Güell is also a bit outside the city center and Park Güell is also slightly higher, making it not very accessible by bike. If you want to visit Park Güell, please note that you need to purchase tickets in advance. On busy days, it is not possible to buy tickets on the same day. Tickets for Park Güell are best purchased online on the official website.

No, there is no deposit. Payment is after the bike tour. *For a reservation of 6 people or more and for private tours, we ask for a deposit of €10 per person.

We kindly ask that you inform us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend the booked tour.

What are the cancellation policies for the bike tour? You can easily cancel your tour via WhatsApp or by phone at: +34 603 32 65 88, or by sending an email to info@perrytours.eu

There are no cancellation fees or booking fees. *For a reservation of 6 people or more, a deposit of €10 per person is required. If you cancel within 24 hours for a group larger than 13 people, or within 72 hours for groups smaller than that, the cancellation fee is equal to the deposit. If the cancellation is more than 72 hours in advance, no cancellation fee is charged
